Nearby are many special villages – Correns, the first organic village in France; Carces, Entrecasteaux and Aups all with weekly markets to visit and the occasional brocantes.

Provence spans a wide area, with Cotignac in the Middle Var being close to its centre. The area is equidistant between the sea and the High Var from where the Alps provide the fresh water that is abundant in the fountains of the village and the rivers and gorges nearby. The region is green and lush with tree covered hills and vine and olive filled valleys.

As a holiday destination staying in Cotignac gives scopes for many different activities. A day by the coast on beautiful beaches, kayaking in nearby rivers or the Gorges du Verdon (a mini Grand Canyon) or the culturally rich city of Aix en Provence with it’s beautiful 17c architecture, Cezanne’s studio, galleries and chic shops.
